Vice President, Marketing & Business Development

Ms. Weaver joined FIS Group in October 2007 and has over 13 years of financial services and marketing experience.  In addition to managing FIS Group’s Chicago, IL office, Ms. Weaver will serve to compliment the firm’s marketing and business development efforts, primarily in the Midwest.

Immediately prior to joining FIS Group, Ms. Weaver served as vice president of Jackson Securities, leading  the Midwest and West Coast institutional client service efforts of the full service financial firm that offers insurance, re-insurance, asset management, wealth management, public finance and investment banking services.  She also managed institutional client relationships for equity linked product lines: sales and trading, transition management, share repurchase and research.

During the three years preceding April 2007, Ms. Weaver served initially as managing director and later as senior managing director for Capital Management Group, a boutique broker/dealer and investment bank.   With a highly motivated team, Ms. Weaver built that company from start-up stage to a top-20 firm, as ranked by a national industry publication, in less than 5 years.  She also had full responsibility for marketing strategy implementation, client service, new business development, comprehensive brand management, front and back office operations.  Ms. Weaver’s clientele consisted of public pension funds as well as corporate pensions, endowments and foundations.  

From 1999 to 2001, Ms Weaver worked as economic analyst with the LaSalle Street Project, providing technical assistance to small businesses including capital access and negotiating supplier relationships with Fortune 100 companies.  She maintained relationships with commercial bankers at local and national money center banks, private equity firms, venture capital firms and alternative sources of funding.  Ms. Weaver’s economic analysis assisted in developing a venture capital fair that attracted over 20 private equity and venture capital firms, culminating in a “bake off” for 10 firms.  Additionally, Ms. Weaver developed and executed a personal financial literacy program for 100+ students from disadvantaged public schools.

From 1995 to 1999, Ms. Weaver served as a sales trader/analyst at Berean Capital, Inc. where she serviced the institutional client base, including state and local pension funds, bank trust accounts and asset managers, providing efficient execution of non taxable fixed income products.

Ms. Weaver completed her undergraduate work at Williams College.
